•VanWicklin, Floyd S., October 11, 2003, age 93, in Lakeland, Florida, formerly of Rochester. He was predeceased by his first wife of 33 years, Irene VanWicklin, 1969. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn VanWicklin; his daughter, Judy (Robin) Fogarty; two sons, James (Sharon) VanWicklin, John (Barbara) VanWicklin; step-sons, Larry, Douglas, Peter and Jon DeWitt; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service was held October 25 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home Inc., Hilton followed by interment, Parma Union Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Royal Family Kids Camp, c/o Houghton Wesleyan Church, P.O. Box 127, Houghton, NY 14744 in his memory.


BROCKPORT

•Schmidt, Arthur E., Peacefully, October 19, 2003, age 83. He is survived by his wife, Doris (Jones) Schmidt; his children, Douglas (Louise) Schmidt; of Sussex, Wisconsin, Donna (John) Alberghini of Morton, Anita Schmidt (Scott Rankins) of Lynchburg, Virginia; five grandchildren; one great granddaughter; his aunt, Esther Heitz; sister-in-law, Marge Jones; several cousins. Art was a Rochester Products retiree, longtime associate of National Accountants Association.

A Celebration of his Life was held October 25 at Brockport United Methodist Church. Private interment, Garland Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Church Memorial Fund or GRHCA Hospice, 70 Metro Park, Rochester 14623.


•Thompson, Sandra E., October 15, 2003. Survived by her sons, Jason, Sean and Matthew; granddaughter, Telsa; her mother, Steffie Kucik; brother, Dennis (Kathy) Kucik; many relatives and special friends. Sandy was a teacher for the Greece School District and manager at Wegmans Prepared Foods.

A Funeral Mass was said October 20 at Holy Cross Church. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.


HILTON

•Hendershot, Leland B., Peacefully, October 20, 2003 age 84. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margaret (Ingraham) Hendershot; his daughters, Lee Anne Davis, Laurel (Patrick) Bassett; his grandchildren, Melissa (Robert) McCall, Robert Davis, Kara, Jill and Michael Bassett; great-granddaughter, Trinity Lee; his brothers, Raymond and Edward "Bud" (Sylvia) Hendershot; his sisters, Leona Peck and Irene (Warren) Hall; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Lee was a U.S. Army Veteran, WWII, Purple Heart Recipient, Kodak retiree, Past Master, Clio Lodge #779 F.&A.M., Past Commander Hiscock-Fishbaugh American Legion Post and Hilton Fire Department Exempts.

A Memorial Service was held October 24 at Hilton United Methodist Church. Interment, Parma Union Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Lakeside Foundation, his church Remembrance Fund or Hilton Ambulance in his memory.


MURRAY

•Tonas, Christos S., Age 71, owner of Christo's Restaurant, died October 20, 2003. Survived by wife of 48 years Emorfia; children, Alexandra Tonas Meng, Anastasia (Naoum) Nedelkos, Sofia (Agisilaos) Tavelaris, Steve (Kim) Tonas, Dimitrios Tonas; brothers, Argirios Tonas, George (Jean) Tonas; sisters-in-law, Agape Theodorou, Despina (Michael) Stathopoulos; aunts, Zoi Kerkezis, Vaia Tonas; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Funeral Service was held October 23 at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation. Interment in Sandy Creek Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the F.H.M. Fire Department or Holley Ambulance.


SPENCERPORT

•Laveck, Gerald F. "Jerry," October 19, 2003 at age 62, surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his sister Shirley Turcotte. Jerry is survived by his wife of 41 years, Marie; his children, Denise (Larry) Matula, Patti (Ron) Pasquale, Marci (Fred) Bloss and Chad (Sarah) Laveck; his grandchildren, Joshua, Jordan, Jonah and Gracie; his mother-in-law Flora Altobello; several nieces and nephews. Jerry was an employee of Kodak for 31 years. He was a volunteer for Lakeside Memorial Hospital in Brockport and St. John's Church in Spencerport.

A Funeral Mass was said October 22 at St. John's Church, Spencerport. Interment St. John's Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 1440 West Washington Boulevard, Chi-cago, Illinois 60607 in his memory.


•Resch, Irene F., October 17, 2003 age 77. Predeceased by husband, Charles L. She is survived by her two sons, and daughter-in-law, Charles E. and Debra A. Bernard; sister, Catherine Bauman; two grandchil-dren, two grandchildren, Tracy A. (Christopher) Lorenzo, Susan M. Resch; many relatives and friends.
