Chili Senior Center programs

Yoga - Thursday, November 6 - December 18 from 2 to 3:15 p.m. $20. Wear loose clothing and bring a beach towel, mat or small blanket. To register, stop by the senior center at 3235 Chili Avenue.

Simply Lite Jazzercise - Wednesday mornings November 12 - December 17 from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. This class is a combination of aerobics and exercises designed to improve strength, balance and flexibility using easy-to-follow movements. Participants should bring water bottle and hand weights. The cost for the 6 week program is $36.

Table Tennis - Senior citizens (age 55+) who enjoy playing table tennis are welcome at the Chili Senior Center on Friday afternoons from 2 to 4 p.m. Free. For information, call 889-6185.

Stretch & Strengthen - The Chili Senior Center is offering a Stretch and Strengthen class on Tuesdays from 2 to 3 p.m. (except first Tuesday of each month, group meets 3 to 4 p.m.). The class is instructed by Agape Physical Therapy. For information, call the center at 889-6185.

Chess Club - every Thursday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. at the Chili Senior Center, 3235 Chili Avenue. All are welcome. Boards are provided.

Singers - Senior Chorus meets on Monday mornings from 10 to 11 a.m. Under the direction of Helen Halligan from the Hochstein School of Music. All singers 55+ are welcome.

Pace Exercise Class - Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. The class offers easy exercises for men and women with arthritis or limited range of motion. Most exercises are done sitting in a chair. The class is instructed by the Arthritis Foundation. The cost is $12 for six week pass (or $10 with Preferred Care or Blue Choice). For information, contact the center at 889-6185.

Eldersource Care Manager - A care manager from Catholic Family Center Eldersource Program, offers services to help older adults with medical insurance reimbursements, housing, transportation and other senior related issues. No appointments, no charge for this service. The care manager is at the Chili Senior Center, 3235 Chili Avenue, on the second and fourth Monday of every month from 10 a.m. to noon. Chain Gang Crocheting Group - learn new patterns, share ideas, work on individual as well as community service projects. The group meets on Wednesdays from 1 to 3 p.m. For information, call 889-6185.
