Snowmobile Safety certification courses offered

The New York State Park Police will be holding two snowmobile safety certification courses for youth in the month of November 2003. The course is targeted for young persons ages 10 to 18. All youth, ages 10 to 18, must have a snowmobile safety certificate to operate a snowmobile alone anywhere other than on family owned or leased land. Youth who complete the training and pass the exam will receive their certification.

The first course will be held at the Elks Lodge, 4400 Sweden Walker Road, Brockport, on November 8 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is co-sponsored by the Salmon Creek Snowmobile Club.

A second course will be held at the Hamlin Recreation Center, Hamlin, on November 15, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
