•Bird, Gerald W., On November 1, 2003. He is survived by his daughters, Carol (Al) Sealy, Bonnie (David) Zorn, Sheery (Larry) Siegfried; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his brother, Chancey Jr. and his sister, Elsie Swanger; several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service was held November 5 at the First Baptist Church, Brockport. Contributions can be made to The First Baptist Church in Brockport or The Lakeside Beikirch Care Center in his memory.


•Burch, Albert R., On October 31, 2003, at the age of 80. He was predeceased by his first wife, Mae. He is survived by his wife, Arline; his children, Beverly (Fred) Smith, Norm (Pat) Paeth, Nancy Gaylord, Jerry (Marge) Paeth, Carol Walcott and Leon Paeth; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews, George (Margaret), Barbara (Jeff) Pratt, Robert, Edward (Kim), Clifford (Marge), Albert (Beth) Burch; 20 grand nieces and nephews. Albert was a veteran of WWII of the Thunderbirds, a member of the Elks, Hamlin VFW Post and the Morton Fire Department.

A Funeral Service was held November 5 at the Fowler Funeral Home Inc., Brockport. Interment, Garland Cemetery. Donations can be made to a charity of one's choice in his memory.


HILTON

•Gilliam, Eric J., October 31, 2003, age 36. Survived by his wife, Lori; daughter, Abigail; mother and step father, Joyce and Andrew Smith; brothers, Aaron (Suzanne) Gilliam, William Gilliam; step-brothers, Stephen (Lorri) Smith, Michael (Amber) Smith; nieces and nephew.

Funeral Services were private. Contributions can be made to St. Joseph's Villa in his memory.


•Johnston, Laura M., November 1, 2003, age 92. Predeceased by her husband, Edwin, sister, Doris Rice, brothers, Samuel, Fred, William, Sidney and Kenneth. Survived by brother, Charles Bruce (Vi) Smith; sister-in-law, Elsie Smith; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held November 5 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., Hilton. Inurnment, White Haven Memorial Park. Contributions can be made to Genesee County Hospice in her memory.


•Kanous, Ellwood E., October 28, 2003, age 77. Survived by his wife, Vera; children, Judy (Gary) Cannan, Sharon (Kirk) Zwetsch, Lorrie (Kevin) Hafner, Colleen Chestnut, Richard (Nancy) Kanous; sister, Dorothy (James) Hermance; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

•Ward, Jean M., November 3, 2003, age 77. Survived by her sister, Julia Ward, sister-in-law, Jane Ward; nieces, Mary (Robert) Breuer; great nephew, Shawn Groth; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Jean was a Kodak retiree.

A Memorial Service was held November 6 at St. Leo Church, Hilton. Inurnment, Parma Union Cemetery. Contributions can be made to American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association in her memory.


•Wright, Roscoe N. "Rocky," October 30, 2003, age 82. Survived by his wife, Mary; children, Marion Ranney, Patricia (George) Ernst; brother, Russell (Arlene) Wright; sisters, Vivian Monagan, Marian Herbstsommer; grandchildren, Stacey (John) Ayers, Joseph (Jennifer) Lissow; special nurse, Corkey; many nieces and nephews. Rocky was a longtime member and resident caretaker/dispatcher of Hilton Fire Department.

A Funeral Service was held November 2 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Hilton. Inurnment, Parma Union Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Hilton Volunteer Fire Department in his memory.


HOLLEY

•Bacon, Phillip R. "Phil," Thursday, October 30, 2003 at age 61. Survived by his wife, Nancy (Maher); his children, Jeff Bacon and Kelly Appis; his grandchildren, Carolyn and Kayla; his brothers Terry (Marti) and Darwin (Doreen) Bacon; several nieces and nephews.

•Brehse, Barry C., Age 55, died October 25, 2003. Survived by mother, Carol Brehse; brothers, Neil (Marilyn), Philip; sister, Diane (Earl) Dietz; sisters-in-law, Marcia Bohonyi, Cynthia Brehse; several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service was held November 1 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Kendall. Private interment. Memorials can be made to the church or the Kendall Ambulance in his memory.
