Incumbents retain seats in Sweden

Town of Sweden Supervisor Nat O. "Buddy" Lester, III garnered 2,127 votes in his bid for re-election on Tuesday, November 4.

Lester, an attorney in Brockport, beat out challenger Gary Skoog, who received 1,236 votes, for his fourth two-year term as supervisor. Hot items on the minds of voters in Sweden were the proposed construction of a Super Wal-Mart on Route 31, money spent on the town's recreation center and the need for economic development.

Incumbent Patricia Connors retained her seat as a town council member. Newcomer Thomas Ferris also won one of the two four-year seats.
