Genesee Transportation Council to meet

The Genesee Transportation Council (GTC), the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Greater Rochester area, will be holding one of its regularly-scheduled Planning Committee meetings Thursday, November 20 in the Rochester City Council Chambers at City Hall, 30 Church Street in Rochester. The meeting agenda is available on the GTC website - www.gtcmpo.org.

The United States Department of Transportation requires every metropolitan area with a population over 50,000 to have a designated MPO to qualify for receipt of federal highway and transit funds. GTC is the MPO for the nine county Genesee-Finger Lakes region, which includes the following counties: Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Wayne, Wyoming and Yates.
