as Monroe County Player of the Year Samantha Hawn, a midfielder for Spencerport's girls soccer team, has been named the Birds Eye Foods-Section V Player of the Year in the Monroe County I League. She was the sparkplug that carried the Lady Rangers to a 10-6-1 record and a berth in sectional tournament. An outstanding defensive player, she also managed to score two goals and make five assists on the season. Presenting her with the award plaque was Bea Slizewski, vice president/communications for Birds Eye Foods, the Rochester based firm that is the nation's largest producer of frozen vegetables. |
