Local author features crafts
and recipes in Funny Farm Book

Morris Press has recently published local author Shirley Cox Husted's latest creation, "The Funny Farm Cook Book," with 251 recipes and crafts for both children and adults ($7.95).

Husted will be autographing copies at Rochester Public Library's Kate Gleason Auditorium on November 23 from 1 to 3 p.m.; also at the Parma Museum on December 6 from noon until 3 p.m. and at the Lift Bridge Book Store in Brockport December 14 from 2 to 4 p.m.

The book was inspired by McCracken's Farm in Sweden, where she portrayed Talking Feather, the Native American storyteller, for 11 years, and it is dedicated to all of her co-workers there. Also created during her years there were the "Indian Heritage Cook Book," the "Wagon Wheel Cook Book," "Tipi Talks," and other books. Copies are available at Parma Town Hall, the Hilton historian's office, the Parma Museum and Stony Point Antiques.
