Hilton-Parma Recreation
introduces its Winter Programs for 2004

Hilton-Parma Recreation's winter 2004 brochure is currently being distributed to the school district and a special mailing of the brochure will also reach all Town of Parma residents. Registration begins January 5.

The Winter Brochure sparks many new programs as well as existing family favorites. Scheduled for Saturday, February 7, is the town's annual Snowfest, which offers free fun for the family with an ice fishing demonstration, youth games, snowmobile rides, wagon rides, cross country skiing, snow sculptures and a fireworks display.

For pre-school children, the popular Kid's Time will run both on Monday and Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. This is a free open play gym for kids age 1-1/2 to 4 years of age with the supervision of a parent. Also available for youngsters is Bumper Bowling, Little Bear Big Bear - a parent child program, Fun with Music and Kinder Korner, a new once a month program structured around one theme.

Programs such as floor hockey league, ice skating lessons at Lakeshore Ice Rink, Bowling for Youth, Karate and a little magic with the program Nothing Up My Sleeve join youth archery instruction available at Creekwood Archery. The American Red Cross babysitting course is open to youth 11 to 15. Golfers can continue instructional golf lessons at the Sports Dome or attend the Tee It Up Golf Clinic. Family Bingo arrives for some Friday night entertainment with chocolates as the prize. Also available are some craft classes along with a tie dye class for those that like to utilize their hands and sign language classes that adults are also welcome to attend.

February break recess activities are planned for youth interested in signing up. Activities include RMSC programs, crafts, Horizon Fun F/X, Reptile Theater and bowling.
