Lovett, Weinert, Quattrini each win three for Bees

Kristine Lovett, Sara Weinert and Steve Quattrini each took first place in three events as the Byron-Bergen Bees girls' swimming team beat Pembroke 97-86. The boy's team lost 128-39.

Lovett won the 200 Individual Medley in 2:44.31, the 100 Backstroke in 1:11.04 and, with Weinert, Ashley Currier and Kaitlyn Starowitz, won the 400 Relay in 4:16.71. Weinert also won the 200 Freestyle in 2:07.93 and the 500 Freestyle in 5:39.84.

Other winners for the girls' team were Stephanie Platt in the 100 Butterfly in 1:18.15, Starowitz in the 100 Freestyle in 1:02.77 and Currier in the 100 Breastroke in 1:21.74 coming from behind in the last leg. At the time of her win in the Breastroke, the Bees were leading by just one point.

Steve Quattrini was the top boys swimmer for the Bees winning the 500 Freestyle in 5:47.59, the 100 Backstroke in 1:05.55 and the 200 Individual Medley Relay with Mike Anuskiewicz, Andrew Cummings and Eric Rittmeyer in 2:10.97 - a full six seconds over the second place finisher.
