March elections set for various villages

Potential candidates have until February 10 to return a petition if they are seeking village trustee or mayoral seats.

The villages of Churchville and Spencerport will not have March elections this year.

In the village of Hilton, the trustees seats of James Gates and Walt Horylev are up for grabs. In the village of Holley voters will be asked to elect a mayor and two trustee seats. The positions are presently held by William Quaranto, Skip Carpenter and Buffy Gleason, respectively. Village of Bergen voters will also have the option of electing two trustees as Wayne Bailey's and Robert Bausch's seats are up for election.

Elections in the villages will be held on March 16. Westside News will run profiles of potential candidates following the petition filing deadline.
