Stuczynski scores 22 in Raiders win

Senior Jennifer Stuczynski led all scorers with 22 points and three other players scored in double figures as Roberts Wesleyan routed Ursuline College of Ohio 89-47 in women's college basketball.

Stuczynski scored fifteen, including her only three-pointer, in the first half as the Raiders ran out to a fifteen point lead at half-time. The Raiders opened the second half with seven straight points and extended their lead to the final 42 points on a Sara DeVoe three-pointer at the final buzzer.

Spencerport graduate and freshman Carrie Kazmierski made the start at point guard for the Raiders and scored four points, pulled down three offensive rebounds and handed out seven assists. Churchville-Chili's Fallon Scott was three-for-five from the floor for six points and registered four blocks. Leah Frazier and Judy Wright each scored 12 points for Roberts Wesleyan and DeVoe added ten.

With her effort, Stuczynski moved into third place on the Raider career points list with 1,251 and jumped into second place in career assists with six in the game giving her 311. The senior from Fredonia is also second all-time in field goals made with 524, second in steals with 294 and is within hailing distance of the top five in rebounds with 545.

Roberts Wesleyan is coming off a National runner-up season in the National Christian College Association and was runner-up in the annual Chase Tournament last season. This year's Chase Tourney opens January 13.
