Officers elected

The Rochester Eye & Tissue Bank elected the following officers at its annual meeting.

Elected to one-year terms as officers are President: Alfredo Torres, MD, of Greece, emergency department physician, ViaHealth-Rochester General Hospital; Vice-President: Janet E. Kerr of Canandaigua, director of practice management, F.F. Thompson Hospital; Secretary: Elizabeth A. McNamara, RN, MSN, of Orchard Park, senior regional coordinator, Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation; and Treasurer: Susan Sotendahl of Rochester, assistant vice-president, JPMorgan Chase.

Elected to three-year terms as board of directors were Richard A. Kiley of Fairport, senior account executive, Saphar & Associates, Inc.; Robert E. Vay of Irondequoit, Vay-Schleich and Meeson Funeral Home; William H. Vanden Brul of Brighton, investment executive, Paine Webber, Inc.; Suzanne Torres, RN, MSN, of Greece, administrative director, mid-level practitioners, ViaHealth-Rochester General Hospital; and Susan Sotendahl of Rochester.

Officers at large include: Anastasia Poulios of Brighton, and Nancy Strassner, RN, of Gates, nurse manager, St. Ann's Community.

The Rochester Eye & Tissue Bank is a nonprofit organ and tissue donation agency serving the Finger Lakes, Central and Northern NY regions and recovers ocular, musculoskeletal, skin and cardiovascular tissues for transplant, medical education and research.
