Rangers with eight firsts

Spencerport won the first eight events and swam the final four exhibition in a 95-51 victory over Hilton in boys swimming.

Doug Bennett and Chris Russell each were part of two first place finishes - Bennett in the 500-freestyle in 5:48.78 and as part of the 200-medley relay team with Logan Been, Jon Stoffel and Antan McManus in 1:59.51. Russell won the diving competition with 134.5 points and in the 100-freestyle in :55.02.

Other Ranger firsts were picked up by Matt Merritt in the 200-freestyle in 2:12.15, Scott Compertore in the 200-individual medley in 2:36.06, Scott Gunther in the 50-freestyle in 24.93 and Donny Hampton in the 100-butterfly in 1:05.25.

Hilton's Matt Sadowski and David Buechel each picked up a pair of first place finishes at the end of the meet. Sadowski won the 100-backstroke in 1:14.04 and Buechel won the 100-breastroke in 1:26.97. Both were part of the winning 400-freestyle relay team with Mike Goers and Scott Jolly. The Cadets also won the 200-freestyle relay with Josh Reichardt, Paul Moore, Nick Snell and Brendan Goodwin.
