Albion author to speak at
Clarkson Historical Society meeting

Thomas Taber, of Albion, will be the featured speaker at this Wednesday's membership meeting of the Clarkson Historical Society. His recent book, Hard Breathing Days, is a collection of more than 160 letters from Cora Beach Benton to her Civil War husband Charlie … This book gives you the Civil War home front on a personal level, as you read the nearly day-by-day account of life in a small Erie Canal village, during those 'Hard Breathing Days.'

That small Erie Canal village was Albion which gives this book an immediacy for all who live in this area. Benton will have copies of his book for sale and will offer autographs.

The meeting is at the Clarkson Justice Court in Clarkson at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3, and the public is cordially invited to attend.
