RWCCO performs "Music Fit for the Czars"

The March 6 concert of the Roberts Wesleyan College-Community Orchestra, "Music Fit for the Czars," will feature music from Russian composer Alexander Borodin. RWCCO Conductor Paul Shewan characterizes Borodin's style as "lush and romantic - very much the soulful Russian form."

In the latter part of the program, the RWC Chorale and the Pearce Memorial Sanctuary Choir will join the orchestra to perform "Psalmfest" by Rutter. The finale will be Bernstein's "On the Town" Suite, complete with its toe-tapping and rousing numbers.

The concert will be held in Hale Auditorium in the Roberts Cultural Life Center at 7:30 p.m. The pre-concert chat with Paul Shewan will be at 7 p.m. Tickets are $6 and can be purchased at the Roberts Box Office, 594-6008, Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
