Hamlin residents enjoy Snow Day fun

Sunday, February 29 was a day of outdoor fun at the Hamlin Town Hall. Over 150 people participated in activities including horsedrawn wagon rides, snowball target shooting contests, ice cube stacking challenge, sports, snow sculpture and crafts.

Students Learning to Embrace Diversity provided an interpretive dance show. The Hamlin Youth Group provided help with events and activities. Wegmans, Chase Pitkin and the Sunflower Cafe donated items and the Hamlin Highway Department worked hard to create the kiddie snow hill.

The event was sponsored in part by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services through the Rochester-Monroe County Youth Bureau.
