Pipes and Drums ready for St. Patrick's Parade

Members of the Gates Keystone Club Police Pipes and Drums have been busy practicing for the Annual Rochester St. Patrick's Day parade to be held March 13 beginning at 12:30 p.m. In 2003, the band won the Laurie B. Houlihan Award and in 2002 they were voted the Best Pipe Band by the parade committee. The Pipe Band has approximately 25 members from the local community and is the official Police/Fire/EMS Pipe Band in Monroe County.

The band holds practices on Sunday afternoons throughout the winter and spring months, and is always recruiting new members for Pipes, Drums, or the Color Guard Unit. Lessons are provided. Call Pipe Major James VanBrederode, 277-3094.
