Monroe County to review Capital Improvement Plan

The Monroe County Planning Board will hold three information meetings on the county's proposed Capital Improvement Program for 2005-2010 which all government officials and the general public are invited to attend. One area meeting is set for Monday, March 8 at 7 p.m. at the Ogden Community Center, 269 Ogden Center Road, Ogden.

The agenda includes opening remarks, presentation of the proposed County Capital Improvement Program, and questions, comments and discussion.

The meetings are scheduled in three different county locations to give local government officials and interested citizens an opportunity to know what capital projects the county proposes to build over the next six years, including such projects as highways, parks, airport, traffic engineering, pure waters, and public safety.

Also the meetings provide local views on how projects relate to commuinty and neighborhood plans, programs and priorities.

Copies of the summary of the proposed CIP will be available at the information meeting and on the web at www.monroecounty.gov, under the heading "Planning and Development Department," "Planning Board," "2005-2010 Capital Improvement Program," "Related Documents."
