"The Pajama Game" comes to Spencerport High School

Spencerport High School's annual musical returns this year with performances of "The Pajama Game." The long-running Broadway hit will be presented in the new high school auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, March 25 and 26, and at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 27.

The musical, with lyrics and music by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross, tells the story of the comic romance between garment factory manager Sid Sorokin and Babe Williams, a union leader with grievances against management.

Cast members include Greg Markant and Katie Ellis, Meghan McGuire and Jen and Andrew White. More than 150 volunteers are involved in the production. In addition to Director Bret Miller, a vocal music teacher at West Irondequoit, the production staff includes John Viavattine, pit orchestra director; Brenda Miska, accompanist; Trichia Bertino-Hartman, choreographer; and Ann Murphy, music director.

Reserved seat tickets are available at $10 for adults, $6 for senior citizens and students under 12. They are available at district schools, Ogden Farmers' Library and Spencerport IGA. For ticket information, call 352-0257.
