Free mammograms offered to the uninsured

According to the American Cancer Society, mammography will detect about 90 percent of the breast cancers in women without symptoms. In an effort to provide this potentially life-saving service to those who need it the most, Unity Health System and the Women's Health Partnership will provide free mammograms to uninsured and under-insured women over 40 on Saturday, April 3 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. The testing will take place at Women's Health and Imaging Services at Park Ridge Hospital, 1555 Long Pond Road, in Greece. ACM Medical Laboratory and OnCall, Unity's physician referral service, will provide cholesterol screenings.

Appointments are required for the screening and can be made by calling 368-3000.
