A winter season banquet was held at the SUNY Brockport Cooper Center Sunday, March 7 to honor the Brockport High School freshman, junior varsity and varsity cheerleading squads. Awards and highlights of the season were presented by Freshman Coach Sarita Viloria, JV Coach Laura Masceri, and Varsity Coach Teresa Niedert. A senior send off was given to graduating cheerleaders Christie Bower, Mary Dailey, Kelly Dauphinee, Whitney Dupra, Cori Harris, Shana Nesbitt and Kellie Wright. A special tribute was given to Marybeth Nesbitt for her many years of service as Cheerleading Booster Club president. Marybeth formed the Booster Club three years ago and was instrumental in making the group of volunteer parents a successful organization. Officers for the 2004-2005 year are: Lynn Dahlin - president; Cheryl Russo - vice president; Sue Twitchell - treasurer; Robin Lauth - secretary; Neala Stull - public relations. |
