DWI victims and their families
urged to participate in memorial

Each year at Highland Park in Rochester, MADD Tri-County Chapter plants a "garden' of wooden stakes with MADD red ribbons attached to them. Each stake bears the name of a DWI victim. The garden stands for five days is visited by many DWI victims and their families. The garden makes a visual statement about the extensive impact DWI crashes have, not only on the victims who were physically involved in the crash, but on all of those people who loved them and whose lives were forever changed by one person's voluntary decision to drink and drive.

Anyone who is a DWI victim, or whose life has been affected by a drunk driver can request a stake. There is no charge for this service. Contact Tracey Holbrook at MADD Tri-County, 426-3130, between 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday to request a stake. Requests should be made by April 5. The times and dates for the dedication will be announced in the future.
