HP Recreation organizes whitewater raft trip

Hilton-Parma Recreation offers a whitewater raft trip at Letchworth State Park. This trip is perfect for the first-time rafter and will take place on Saturday, May 8.

The day begins with a safety talk that will be followed by a 10 minute walk to the river's edge. Five miles of rapids follow. Cost of the adventure is $35 with wet suit, $30 without.

The trip includes round-trip transportation, entrance fee to the park and a whitewater rafting experience. A new transport vehicle will depart the Village Community Center at 11:30 a.m. for a 2 p.m. departure into the rapids.
