•Putnam, Arline M., Thursday, April 1, 2004. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Wulf; son, Willard James (Susan) Putnam; brother, Vincent (Jutta) Miller of Germany; grandchildren, Thomas (Jackie Williams) Wulf, Mark A. (Melanie) Wulf, Jayme Carlton (Heather) Putnam, Beth Ann (Paul) Guglielmi and Matthew James Putnam; great-granddaughter, Traci Lynn Wulf; nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Carlton Putnam; son-in-law, John A. "Jack" Wulf; sister, Jean Harradine; brother-in-law, Russell Harradine and nephews, Ronald and Gerald Harradine. She was a lifelong Real Estate Agent and an avid bowler.

Private Funeral Service and interment. Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm in her memory.


BROCKPORT

•Janda, Stanislav, On March 29, 2004 at the age of 75. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Nadine; daughter, Regina Janda; and grandson, Roman.

A Memorial Mass was held April 6 at the Church of the Nativity BVM, Brockport. Those wishing can contribute to Nativity Church in his memory.


•Porter, Loretta C., On April 2, 2004. She is survived by her grandchildren, Joseph (Deanne), Bruce (Sandie) Rob (Jacquie), Judy Porter, Jack (Claudia), Jeannie Porter; 17 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister, Arlene Hurley; several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service was held April 5 at the Fowler Funeral Home, Inc., Brockport. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations can be made to Lakeside Beikirch or the American Heart Association in her memory.


•Williams, Bernice P., On March 31, 2004. She is survived by her mother, Martha Todd; her daughters, Joyce Riley, Beverly Jackson, Debra Willis all of Rochester and Cassandra Busby of Orlando, Florida; two sons, Darryl and Freddie Williams of Rochester; her brother, George Todd; and her sister, Linda Ebanks; 16 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral Services were held April 5 at the Fowler Funeral Home, Inc., Brockport. Interment, Sandy Creek Cemetery.


HILTON

•Boddy, Joyce P. "Mary" April 3, 2004 age 70. Predeceased by her parents, James and Leona Pressley. Survived by her husband, Raymond; children, Jon (Sandy) Boddy, Karen (John Snyder) Boddy, Cathy (Floyd) Shell, Patricia (Ronald) Spindler; sister, Marjorie (Robert) Gillette; seven grandchildren; one great granddaughter; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Joyce was a bus driver at Hilton Central School for 19 years and was the first president of the Hilton VFW Ladies' Auxiliary 6105.

Funeral Services were held April 5 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., Hilton. Contributions can be made to Hilton Volunteer Ambulance in her memory.


•Dowd, David A., April 2, 2004, age 39. Survived by his wife, Patricia; parents, Dan and Mary June Dowd; sister, Deanna (Robert) Gnage; brothers, Andrew Dowd, Ted Dowd; paternal grandmother, Virginia Dowd; mother-in-law, Ruth Hamilton; many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

HOLLEY

•Smalley, "JD" James D., January 10, 2004 at the age of 80. He was predeceased by his wife June F. Smalley; his parents Dwight and Jesse Smalley; brother Harold; sisters, Jean Able and Althea DeGraff. He is survived by his daughter Yvonne (Michael) Hutt; sons William (Margaret) McGuigan and James McGuigan; five grandchildren, Jesse and Michael Hutt, Katie (Bruce) Gelletly, Brian (Julie) McGuigan and Melissa (David) Houde; great grandchildren, Will, Ally, Brittany and Sabrina; his brother Edson (Irene) Smalley; sister Lorraine (Edward Allen); many nieces, nephews and his special friend Marjorie Walter. He was a retiree of Eastman Kodak and served in the U.S. Army during WWII.

A Memorial Service will be held May 1, 2004 at the Holley Presbyterian Church in Holley at 11 a.m. Contributions can be made to the American Lung Association, Finger Lakes Chapter, 1595 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester, NY 14620 in his memory.


NORTH CHILI

•Martin, Mary B., April 3, 2004, at age 84. Wife of the late Gregory; mother of James L. of Hilton and Melinda (William) Smith of Honeoye Falls; sister of Ruth (Daniel) Smith; grandmother of Heather and Kristen; aunt of Laurie Smith and Craig (Judy) Smith; great-aunt of Leah.

SPENCERPORT

•Persia, Palma "Pam" L., Age 46 of Spencerport died April 6, 2004 at Wedgewood Nursing Home following a short illness. She was born April 10, 1957 in Rochester and had lived in the Holley and Spencerport area all her life. She graduated from Holley High School in 1975 and was a member of St. Mary's Church. Pam owned and operated Pam's Electrolysis in Spencerport for 20 years and was a music teacher for the Monroe County Catholic Schools for many years including St. John's in Spencerport.

She was predeceased by her father, Thomas L. Persia. She is survived by her mother Marie L. Persia of Spencerport; brother, Robert (Patricia) Persia of Spencerport; beloved nephews, Joseph and Daniel; aunts and uncles, Frank Fiorito of Minnesota, Annette Gibson of Florida, Albert (Helen) Persia of Holley, Alfred (Josephine) Persia of Rochester, several supportive and loving cousins.

The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 16650 West Albion Street, Route 31, Holley, Monday April 12, 1 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Mary's Church, 11 South Main Street, Tuesday, April 13 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials can be sent to the Spencerport Federal Credit Union, 2775 Spencerport Road, Spencerport, NY 14559 for Pam's Team to be used for the Cancer Relay for Life in Spencerport and Monroe County Catholic Schools Music Education.


•Roberts, Amy A. (Apgar), March 31, 2004 at age 82. Predeceased by her husband, Arthur W. Roberts. She is survived by her daughter Amy Lou (Craig) Bush of Brockport and her son Bill (Nancy) Roberts of Wappingers Falls; her grandchildren, Tim, Kevin, and Jeff Bush, Janet and Amy Roberts; nieces and nephews including the David deCalestra family; dear neighbors and friends. She was a member of the Ogden Senior Citizens Center.

Funeral Services were held April at Adams Basin United Methodist Church. Interment, Parma Corners Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Memorial Fund of Adams Basin United Methodist Church, Adams Basin, NY 14410 in her memory.


•Shelton, Carol A. (Figler), Formerly of Spencerport, died March 27, 2004 after a long illness. Predeceased by her mother, Eugenia Krasinski. She is survived by her husband, W. Thomas Shelton; children, Shelly (Allen) Berkowitz of New Jersey, James (Kim) Shelton, Sharon (Robin) Eamer, Robert (Diane) Shelton of Florida, Evelyn (Jerry) Rubenstein, Christopher Shelton and Steven (Michelle) Shelton; sisters Doreen (Bob) Gagne and Linda Clark; and many well loved nieces, nephews, grandchildren and friends.

•Spofford, Lorraine E., April 4, 2004 at age 72. Predeceased by her husband, Ronald. Survived by her children, Margaret (Robert) Rothenburgh, Barbara Bauman and Richard H. Spofford; her grandchildren Jennifer, Shane, Matthew, Nikole, Ronald, Letitia and Jason; her great-grandchildren Sami and Nick; brothers and sister-in-law, Alan, Paul and Valerie Spofford; her cousins George White and Mary Louise Bell; several nieces and nephews.
