Myrtle Beach The Dynamic Silver Bullets Senior All Star Cheerleading team from Rochester placed first as National Champions at the 2004 Cheer Ltd CANAM International Cheerleading and Dance Championship on March 21 at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The competition began Friday, March 19 with Individual and Partner Stunt groups competing. Stephanie Turrie from Hilton placed sixth runner-up in the Jr. All Star individual division. Michelle Turrie, Antoinette Civiletti, Ashley Mootz, Sarah Eichas and Brittany DeSimone placed first runner-up in the Sr. All Star Partner Stunt division. Sarah Brongo, Amanda Roth, Lindsay Otto, Drea Watson and Katie Peown placed second runner-up in the Senior All Star Partner Stunt division as well. On Saturday, March 20, the Bullets were edging the competition by eight points in a strong first round and by Sunday finished off the tournament with a lead of 15 points ahead of the Cobra Elite All Stars and 30 points ahead of the Wight Tumble Academy. "The girls deserve the Champion title," said Head Coach Tami Turrie. "They have overcome many obstacles and have practiced hard all year and through it all have kept a positive attitude." The Dynamic Silver Bullets are comprised of cheerleaders from all over Monroe and Livingston counties with cheerleaders from Brockport, Spencerport, Honeoye Falls-Lima, Hilton, Greece, Gates and Chili. They have never placed lower than second in any competition they have entered and have earned Grand Champion titles from Niagara Falls, Canada and Erie County. The Dynamic Silver Bullets will begin their 2004/05 season in May with Jr. All Star, Pee Wee All Star, Sr. All Star and Sr. Open All Star teams forming.
