Bright Raven gymnast Sabrina Hill of Hamlin was named the State Champion in uneven parallel bar competition at the USA Gymnastics Level 7 Championships held April 17-18 in Mohegan Lake. The Brockport High School sophomore earned first place on bars with a score of 9.275 competing in the 15 and over age division. She earned additional medals also placing third in floor exercise (9.20), fifth in vaulting (9.225) and third all around (36.20). In the 13-14 age division, Amber Kober of Ogden earned medals in three events placing eighth on balance beam (9.175), tenth in floor exercise (9.40) and tenth all around (36.05). Kevin Kirkland of Greece traveled to Hanover, Pennsylvania April 18 to compete in the USAG Class 5 Regional Championships where he placed in 4 events and all around competition. He was second in vaulting (9.70), third on parallel bars (8.80) and sixth on floor (8.50) and pommel horse (8.80). His all around score of 52.40 was also good for sixth place in the 12 and over age division. He is a junior at Odyssey High School. |
