•Nichols, Marion E., April 28, 2004 at age 89. Predeceased by her husband, Harold. Survived by her daughter, Barbara (Mike) Gorton of Hilton; daughter, Sallie Lammon of Florida; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.

A Memorial Service was held April 30 at the Hilton United Methodist Church. Contributions can be made to the Bethany Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 3000 Dewey Avenue, Rochester 14616 in her memory.


BERGEN

Robinson, Richard L., "Rick," Thursday, April 29, 2004, at age 40. Husband of Sharyl Brown Robinson; son of John F. (Shirley) Robinson; father of Jennifer and Ryan Robinson; brother of John (Becky) Robinson, David (Kelli) Robinson, Paul (Allene) Robinson, Todd (Karen Crusoe) Robinson and Theresa (Jay) Whalin; grandson of Helen Robinson; son-in-law of Paul (late Donna) Brown; also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Predeceased by nephew, Christopher Miller.

Funeral Services were held May 4 at Union Congregational United Church of Christ, Churchville. Memorials can be made to the family.


BROCKPORT

•Donavin, Ann O'Reilly, Major (Ret.), April 28, 2004 at age 84. Wife of the late Kirkwood Donavin, devoted sister of Theresa O'Reilly and beloved aunt of Karen Cavanaugh, Julie Hirt, Thomas Cavanaugh and Mary Cavanaugh.

A Funeral Mass was said May 1 at the Church of the Nativity B.V.M. Brockport. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery at a later date. Memorials can be made to the O'Reilly Scholarship Fund at SUNY Brockport.


•Mayer, Mary A. (Bulmer), On April 28, 2004 at the age of 93. She is predeceased by her husband, William; and her daughter, Kathleen. Survived by her daughter, Joanne Mayer; and son, Kenneth Mayer; grandchildren, Kenna (Brian) McNamara and Patrick Mayer; great-grandson, Ryan McNamara; several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass was said May 4 at the Church of the Nativity BVM, Brockport. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Lakeside Foundation or the Church of the Nativity in her memory.


Ridd, Eugene H. "Gene," May 3, 2004, age 77. Retired from General Electric. Husband of Sara Ridd of Brockport; father of Craig Ridd of Rochester, Mark Ridd of Brockport and Lynne Levandowski of Hamlin; brother of Patricia Flaherty of LeRoy and Rosemary Liese of Brockport; grandfather of six grandchildren.

Services were held May 5 at the Church of the Nativity, Brockport. Memorials can be made to Mercy Flight Inc., 2420 Brickyard Road, Canandaigua, 14464.


•Rogers, Clara, Formerly of Brockport on February 8, 2004 at the age of 96. Clara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Norman; her young son, Jerry; brother, Leland; sister, Theda; daughters-in-law, Sue Brunson Rogers and Lorraine Craighead Rogers; and great-grandson, Justin Pope. She is survived by her sister, Milda Cramer Crayton of Williamson; sons, Jack Rogers and Dick Rogers; grandchildren, Vickie (Richard) Pope, Patty (Gregory) Marcil, Linda (Jeff) Kindrick, Marla Rogers, all of Helena, and Stanton (Cheri) Rogers of Townsend; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service was held May 6 at Lake View Cemetery, Brockport.


CHURCHVILLE

Brodie, Julia Embling, 79, on April 29, 2004. She died peacefully at her home in Forest, Virginia. She was the loving and devoted wife of Gordon Skelton Brodie for 59 years. Besides her husband, she is survived by their three children, Linda Brodie MacDonald, of Gates, Larry Gordon Brodie and his wife, Judy, of Lynchburg, Virginia, Harold Warren Brodie (Nelia) of Rochester and Jonathan MacDonald of Rochester; seven surviving brothers and sisters; four grandchildren; Scott (Vicky) Brodie, Sherry (Donn) Schnarr, Ian (Rachel) MacDonald and Joel MacDonald; eight great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nephews and nieces and other special friends. She was a longtime member of the Union Congregational United Church of Christ in Churchville, and more recently attended Timberlake Baptist Church in Lynchburg, Virginia. She retired after 33 years of service as an Administrative Assistant in the Churchville Chili Central Schools business office. She retired to St. Petersburg, Florida for 18 years before relocating to Forest, Virginia in 2002.

A Celebration of Life Service was held May 3 at Union Congregational United Church of Christ, Churchville. Interment, Creekside Cemetery, Churchville. Memorials can be made to Wycliffe Bible Translator Missionaries for the support of the Dix Family, or to Hospice Care.


HILTON

Lever, Gordon J., May 1, 2004 age 65. Survived by his wife, Erna; children, Elizabeth Hoffer (John) Goehle, John (Jamie) Lever; grandchildren, Jenna, Elyse, Kristen, Megan, Natalie.

A Memorial Service was held May 4 at Ogden Presbyterian Church. Inurnment, Parma Union Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or Lakeside Foundation in his memory.


•Ryan, Margaret A. "Peg," (St. George), May 2, 2004, age 78, widow of Charles "Jerry" Ryan. She is survived by her sons, Fred (Linda), Robert (Mary Lou) and Bradley (Sandy) Ryan; grandchildren, Eric (Sherry) Ryan, Jennifer (David) Lang, Kelly (Steven) Sousa, Bradley Ryan Jr. and Pvt. Patrick Ryan; three great-grandchildren, Derek, Austin and David; two sisters-in-law, Jane and Dorothy St. George. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Matthew and Henry, and her sister, Patricia.

Funeral Services were held May 6 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home Inc., Hilton. Interment, Parma Union Cemetery. Contributions can be made in her memory to School of the Holy Childhood, where she was an instructor for many years.


Schultz, Herbert C., Suddenly, March 18, 2004 in Riverview, Florida, 90, formerly of Hilton. He was predeceased by his wife, Betty. Survived by his brother, David Schultz of Ashland, Kentucky.

Private interment, Parma Union Cemetery.


Wright, Leith L. (Cox), May 2, 2004, age 92. Predeceased by her husband, Dennison ("Denny"), 1993; her daughter, Janice L, 1946; her brother, Howard Cox; her sister, Shirley Cox Husted, April 16, 2004. Survived by her sons, Norman (Florence), Denny (Carolyn), Donald (Nancy); her daughter, Deborah (David) Fox; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was Hilton Village Historian for 28 years, and earlier was Deputy Town Clerk and Registrar for the Town of Parma. A member and Past Matron of Leah Chapter #183, O.E.S., and a one-time member of D.A.R., Irondequoit Chapter. With her sister, she co-founded the Parma-Hilton Historical Society and was its first president. She authored two books on Hilton history, a genealogical account of the Cox Family and her own autobiography.

A Funeral Service was held May 5 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home Inc., Hilton. Interment Parma Union Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Hilton Baptist Church Memorial Fund, Shriner's Crippled Children's Hospital, Burns Unit or Alzheimer's Association in her memory.


HOLLEY

Dickerson, Betty M., 74, died May 1, 2004. Betty started her love of cooking in the old Brockport Hospital, before starting Betty's Diner in Holley. She also managed the Wolcott dairies in Albion and Holley. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Frank; a son, John of Rochester; sister, Helen Bopp of Florida; sister-in-law, Isabelle Engert of Holley; cousins; nieces; nephews, especially George Nobel of Holley. She is also survived by special friends, Lee Kedzierski, Elaine Sutherland and Bob Brusso.

A graveside service was held May 3 at Hillside Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Hospice of Orleans County, 14080 Route 31W, Albion, NY 14411.


SPENCERPORT

Craddock, Joel Daniel "Dan," Tuesday, May 4, 2004 at age 62. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Diana S. Craddock; his children Joel P. Craddock, Stacey (Jeff) Fletcher, Becky (Chad) Robacker of Omaha, Nebraska and Stephen M. (Deborah) Craddock; grandchildren, Daniel Fletcher, Amanda and Anna Robacker; his mother Georgia Craddock; brothers Francis David (Barbara) Craddock; brothers Francis David (Barbara) Craddock of Huntsville, Alabama and Paul Craddock of Avoca; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Francis B. Craddock and was a retiree of Eastman Kodak Company.

A Funeral Mass was said May 8 at St. Lawrence Church, Rochester. Interment, St. John's Cemetery, Spencerport. Contributions can be made to The American Red Cross or WXXI radio in his memory.


•Czebiniak, Gretchen D., Age 53, died May 4, 2004 at Park Ridge Hospital. Born in Syracuse, she was a hairdresser at Edmunds Hair Collections in Liverpool, before moving to Spencerport 12 years ago. Gretchen was actively involved at the Spencerport School District and board member of the Genesee Figure Skating Club. Survived by her husband, Jerry; daughter Madasyn Czebiniak of Spencerport; two sisters GiGi Salvagni (Sam) of North Syracuse, Kim Tropea of Akron, Ohio; a brother Joseph J. Tropea Jr. Ph.D. (Margaret) of Kensington, Maryland; several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Neri, Anthony Marton "Tony," March 10, 1986-April 27, 2004. Rodney, Jill and Madison, sadly announce the passing of their beloved son and gentle and nurturing brother, Anthony. Also survived by grandparents, Neil and Billie Davy Bubel, many cherished uncles, aunts, cousins and numerous loyal friends.
