BROCKPORT

•Heckman, Seward E., 86, of Lakeside Care Center, Brockport, formerly of Woodhull, New York and Tavares, Florida, June 1, 2004. Seward was retired from Ingersoll Rand Co. of Painted Post and had operated Heckman's Registered Store in Woodhull. He was an avid bowler, was a member of Robinson Lodge F&AM of Jasper, and a past Master of Restoration Lodge 777 F&AM of Woodhull. Predeceased by his wife, Winifred, in 1996. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, S. Dean and Judy Heckman of Wayland; his daughters and son-in-law, Sharon and Albert Henry of Hilton and Louisa Cratsley of Lockport; his brother, Robert (Mildred) Heckman of Woodhull; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Memorial Service was held June 6 at the H. P. Smith and Son, Inc. Funeral Home, Woodhull. Burial in Woodhull Cemetery.


CLARENDON

Thieleman, Violet, June 2, 2004. Predeceased by her husband, Louis; sister and brothers. Survived by her sister, Mable Howden; brother, Gene (Toni) Pickett; several nieces and nephews; step-children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Rochester Telephone Pioneer Club and a volunteer at Park Ridge Hospital.

Funeral Services were held June 9 at the Younglove-Smith and Ryan Funeral Home. Entombment, Riverside Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Disciples United Methodist Church or Clarendon Volunteer Fire Department in her memory.


HAMLIN

Cater, Henry W., June 2, 2004, age 86. Survived by his wife, Helen; son, Douglas (Lisa) Cater; sisters, Doris Hetzke, Ruth Quinn; brothers, Charles (Hilda) Cater, Bernard Cater; grandchildren, Melinda, Nicholas, Matthew; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held June 5 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., Hilton. Interment, Garland Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Journey Home in his memory.


Mohr, Sharon L. "Sass," June 4, 2004, age 60. She is survived by her beloved husband, Dennis "Teddy Bear;" her children, Brian Mohr (Melanie Trembley) and Heather Mohr, her sister-in-law, Dorothy Mohr.

A Memorial Service was held June 7 at Greece Assembly of God. Private interment, Parma Union Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Unity Foundation, 1555 Long Pond Road, Rochester, NY 14626 in her memory.

Conway, Arlene A., June 7, 2004, age 71. Survived by her husband, John; children, Mike (Judy) Conway, Sean (Dawn Piper) Conway, Patricia Conway; grandchildren, Derek, Randi, Shannon, Amanda, Patrice; great-grandchild Marie; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Funeral Mass was said June 11 at St. Leo Church. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Hilton Volunteer Fire Department or a charity of choice in her memory.


Fritsch, Nancy S., June 3, 2004, age 47. Survived by her husband, Bruce; parents, Roland and Lois Lind; daughter, Julaine Frye; grandson, Alex Frye; nieces, nephews and friends. Nancy was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

•Hazen, Mary A., June 6, 2004, age 77. Survived by her husband, Harold; children, Scott Hazen, Kathy (Jeffrey) Lane; brother, Donald Gahan; grandchildren, Rachel, Drew, Jeannie (Brian) Decker, Julie; great-granddaughter, Jordan; many nieces and nephews.

Whitaker, Marie A., May 27, 2004. Survived by her loving and devoted husband Lawrence Whitaker; children Denise (Thomas) Hiebler; Gary (Carol) Whitaker; sisters Lucille Clark and Florence Rayburn; grandchildren, Angela Whitaker, Eric Hiebler, Julie Hiebler, Jason Webster and Rachel Webster; great-granddaughter Carlie Rose Hiebler; special niece and nephew, Beverly and Lloyd Swisher; other nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. •Giancaterin, Anthony F., June 6, 2004 at age 82. He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years Fay Gian-caterin. He is survived by his sons, Gerald (Deborah) Giancaterin of Scottsdale, Arizona and Richard Gian-caterin of Spencerport; his grandson Larry (Sherry) and great grandchildren Joseph and Nicole of Arizona; several nieces and nephews. He was a retiree of Eastman Kodak Co.

Quanz, Helen S. (Semler), June 5, 2004 at age 79. She was predeceased by her husband Leo J. Quanz, her daughter Barbara, her brothers and sister-in-law, Edwin and Eugene (Rosemary) Semler. She is survived by her children, Leo M. (Susan) Quanz, Joanne (Vinny) Vinjamuri and Bernard (Joanne) Quanz; grandchildren Lisa and Brian Quanz, Michelle and Rachel Vijamuri; her sisters Katherine (George) Schum and Marian (Raymond) Hauslauer; sister-in-law Emma Semler; several nieces and nephews.
