Community helps fund camp endeavor

June 9 was a day of fun and festivities at the Brockport Tim Hortons. The company's Camp Day was observed and celebrated with children's activities, special offers and community support.

On Camp Day, the entire day's coffee sales at more than 2,500 Tim Hortons stores across North America are donated to the Tim Hortons Children's Foundation, a charitable endeavor which helps children who might otherwise not have the opportunity to have a camp experience.

In Brockport on June 9, the Holley and Brockport Fire Departments had equipment and trucks on site for all to check out. The Ballistic Chicks, a jazz group from Brockport High School, performed. There were raffles of baskets of Tim Horton products, face painting, balloon popping prizes and all to raise money for camp sponsorships. Children selected from throughout the communities where Tim Hortons are located participate in various programs and activities at camp designed to give participants self confidence, self esteem and leadership opportunities. The Foundation operates six camps, including one in Campbellsville, Kentucky.
