Pinewood Derby now open to girls and parents

The 2004 Monroe County Fair is looking for entries to its first ever-open Pinewood Derby. In cooperation with the Boy Scouts of America and sponsored by Chase Pitkin, the 2004 Monroe County Fair will host a Pinewood Derby on Sunday, July 18 during the Monroe County Fair.

The Derby will be open to everyone. There is no entry fee for youth and juniors age 19 and under and a $1 entry fee for adults 20 and over.

Cars can be no more than seven inches long and no wider than two and three-quarter inches. The car shall weigh no more than five ounces. First prize is a Matt Kenseth/Dewalt die-cast car and a $50 Chase Pitkin gift card, second prize is a Matt Kenseth/Dewalt die-cast car and a $25 Chase Pitkin gift card and third prize is a Matt Kenseth/Dewalt die-cast car and a $10 Chase Pitkin gift card.
