Popular exhibit expands in Spencerport

Last summer, it was estimated that several thousand people followed the Pathways to the Past photographic walking tour within the Village of Spencerport. "We went through 5,000 brochures," reported Patty Uttaro, Director of the Ogden Farmers' Library. Uttaro, along with Village Trustee Tim Peer, was instrumental in putting this exhibit together.

The 25 original plaques are located within the downtown village area and showcase various points of historical interest. This year, ten additional plaques will be added to the path. The new plaques will be put in place, in front of the Clyde Carter Gazebo and along Union street from the Senior Center to the HSBC Bank, during the last week in June.

"The scope of the new photos has widened to include all parts of the town (Ogden) from Adams Basin to Town Pump, to southeast Ogden to Ridge Road," Uttaro said.
