Route 531 Extension Plan moves ahead
The Genesee Transportation Council has amended its 2003-2008 Transportation Improvement Program to include $5.8 million to advance the possible extension of Route 531 west to Redman Road in the Town of Sweden. more

The Gates Chili Chamber of Commerce of the Rochester Business Alliance (RBA), in conjunction with the Irondequoit Chamber of Commerce of the RBA, the Greece Chamber of Commerce and the Perinton Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the eighth Annual Battle of the 'Burbs Golf Tournament on Wednesday, July 28 at Shadow Pines Golf Club located at 600 Whalen Road, Penfield. The scramble format promptly kicks-off at 10 a.m. with a shot-gun start. more

Horseback riding for the disabled offered
The Paddock Center for Equine Assisted Activities, Inc. has openings for riders and volunteers in the summer and fall sessions. The Paddock Center offers horseback riding opportunities for people of all ages who have disabilities or diverse needs. The sessions are conducted by instructors certified by the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association, Inc. (HARHA). more
