Hilton Firemen's Parades necessitates
road closures in Hiton village

On Wednesday, July 28 from 6:15 p.m. to approximately 8 p.m., the following roads will be closed to all traffic in the village of Hilton for the Hilton Fire Department Kiddie Parade:

  • South Avenue from Raintree Lane to Main Street
  • Main Street from South Avenue to Heinz Street

On Thursday, July 29, from 6:45 p.m. to approximately 9 p.m., the following roads will be closed to all traffic in the village of Hilton for the Hilton Fire Department Grand Parade:

  • South Avenue from Raintree Lane to Main Street
  • Main Street from South Avenue to Heinz Street

Motorists should plan an alternate route if they are traveling through Hilton on Routes 259 during these events.

The Hilton Firemen's Carnival runs from Wednesday, July 28 to Saturday, July 31. Traffic control officers from the Parma Special Police will be on duty to direct traffic from 6 p.m. to midnight each night along South Avenue. Travelers should use caution while driving through the village of Hilton during these evenings and expect heavier than normal vehicle and pedestrian traffic. They should be prepared to stop and heed all instructions from the officers.

The Parma Special Police is an all-volunteer organization funded by the Town of Parma. The unit assists various agencies and organizations during town events, parades and emergencies by providing crowd, traffic control and other services. All members are Peace Officers who are trained at the Monroe County Public Safety Training Facility.
