Kimberly Hill, of Chili, has been named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Roberts Wesleyan College. A 2003 graduate of Churchville-Chili High School, she is the daughter of Larry and Karlene Hill. She is majoring in early childhood education and special education and is a member of the women's soccer team and 2004 track and field teams.


Nadine Lippa, a graduate of Byron-Bergen High School, will join 54 other students from around the world for Lucent Technologies' sixth annual Global Science Scholars Summit. During the week, students will shadow Bell Labs researchers, tour laboratories, participate in panel discussions, interact with Bell Labs scientists and researchers, and work with other multinational scholars on a research project.

Last summer, Lippa studied fiber optics at the University of Rochester Laboratory for Laser Energetics and co-authored a paper in "University of Rochester Laboratory for Laser Energetics." Lippa, an Intel Science Talent Search semifinalist, plays soccer, basketball, softball and track. Her athletic talents have earned her the Genesee Region Scholar Athlete awards in both soccer and basketball. In the fall, Lippa will attend Carnegie Melon University, where she plans to study material sciences and engineering.


Vi H. Nguyen of Lansmere Way, Rochester, was named to the dean's list for the spring 2004 semester at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy.

He is a computer and systems engineering, computer science major.


Stephen R. DeBellis of Brewerton Drive, Rochester, was named to the dean's list for the spring 2004 semester at Renssalaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy.

He is a computer science, electronic media, arts and communication major.


Kevin Godshalk, of Hilton, class of 2005, participated in the National Student Leadership Conference (NSLC), a leadership development program for outstanding high school students. While attending the NSLC, Godshalk attended workshops on developing the skills and traits that define and identify a leader.

Godshalk is a senior at Aquinas Institute.


Candice Rockell of Spencerport received a scholarship from the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of the State of New York and is shown accepting the scholarship from Edward R. Trosin, Grand Master of Masons in New York. In the New York Masonic Education Assistance Program, qualifying children, grandchildren and widows of Masons are eligible to receive assistance.
