Sweden appoints new building inspector

Town of Sweden officials appointed Bill Weber to the position of part time building inspector at their July 27 meeting. The appointment was made following the sudden death of the town's assessor, Alan Bader on June 24, 2004.

"Bill will be a great addition to the team," Town Supervisor Nat O. Lester, III said. "He worked with Alan for many years and it's nice for the town to have someone like Bill - who has so much knowledge of the community - on board with us."

Weber has more than 20 years of experience having worked for the Village of Brockport as their code enforcement officer 24 years. He has also performed code enforcement and building inspections for the Town of Clarkson and is presently working in a part time capacity for the Town of Livonia. "I'm happy to be on board with Sweden," Weber said. "I certainly wish it wasn't under such circumstances, but I welcome the opportunity."

Councilman Rob Carges thanked Weber for stepping forward and filling the position for the town.
