BROCKPORT

•Burns, Thomas A., July 31, 2004 at age 93. Predeceased by his wife, Dorothy K.; infant daughter, MaryAnn; sisters, Marion (Edmond) Ewart, Claire (Walter) Koch; brothers, John Gerald (Mae), Michael Roy (Dolores) Burns. He is survived by his daughter, Ellen (Ray) Coller; sons, Daniel (Margaret) and Thomas J. (Elena) Burns; grandchildren, Amy (Steve Feder) Winston, Greg (Kathryn Miles) Winston, Matthew and Mariana Burns; many nieces, nephews and friends.

He taught Business Education at Brockport Central High School for 34 years and also served as department head and Varsity Basketball Coach.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held August 20 at the Nativity BVM Church, Brockport. Contributions can be directed to the Lakeside Beikirch Care Center-Tuition Assistance Program, Genesee Region Home Care-Hospice or Sweden Senior Center in his memory.


HOLLEY

•Knutowicz, James E., "Buddha", age 62, died August 7, 2004 at Lakeside Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was employed as a truck driver at Iroquois Rock in Brockport before retiring in 1999.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Arlene; daughters, Janet (Kevin) Knutowicz-Coleman of Holley, Carol Knutowicz-Rademacher (Kenneth Blank) of Holley, Sophia Tolias of Florida; four grandchildren, Shawn Knutowicz, Shannon and Erik Coleman, Robert Rademacher all of Holley; brother, Bernie (Terri) Knutowicz of Rochester; two sisters, Mary (Les) Jackson of Scio, Tammy (Roger) Reed of Holley; 12 brothers-in-law, Joe (Sandy) Mussaw of Rochester, Bill (Diane) Mussaw of Kentucky, Dick (Joann) Mussaw of Phelps, Bob Mussaw of Idaho, Floyd Mussaw of Honeoye, Roy (Marge) Mussaw of Rochester, Donny (Connie) Mussaw of Canandaigua, Danny (Diane) Mussaw of Florida, Ronnie (Michelle) Mussaw of Webster, Jimmy (Debbie) Mussaw of Rochester, Timmy (Kathy) Mussaw of Rochester; sister-in-law, Debbie (Jim) Larwood of Ontario; several nieces, nephews and friends.

A Memorial Service was held August 10 at Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home, Holley. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or to Hospice of Orleans.


NORTH CHILI

•King, Melda R., died August 4, 2004. Formerly of North Chili. Wife of the late Sam King; mother of Melda Joyce Lee, Betty Joanne Scott and Jeannine Justice; grandmother of Darrell and Ian Scott. Also survived by three sisters and three brothers.

A Graveside Service was held August 7 in North Chili Cemetery.


SPENCERPORT

•Alborough, Antonia C., August 5, 2004 at age 83. She was predeceased by her husband Jack Alborough and her son John P. Alborough. She is survived by her son Thomas A. Alborough of Bellingham, Massachusetts and his children Jason and Christopher of Dracut, Massachusetts; daughter Jane Alborough and children Peter, Gladyse, David and Cheri, all of Israel; many nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Ogden Senior Citizens Center.

A Memorial Service was held August 9 at Walker Brothers Co. Funeral Home Inc., Spencerport. Interment, Fairfield Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Contributions can be made to the Ogden Senior Citizens Center, 200 South Union Street, Spencerport, NY 14559 in her memory.


•Pangborn, William L., age 79, died July 25, 2004 in Ocala, Florida. He was born November 3, 1924 in Spencerport, to William G. and Margaret (Cosgrove) Pangborn. He was a U.S. Army veteran of W.W. II, a 1949 graduate of Alfred University, and a retired ceramic engineer. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis, Ocala, Florida; children, Anne Brush, Wooster, Ohio, Ellen Whyde, Beach City, Ohio and John Pangborn, Ocala, Florida; and three grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents and his former wife, Beverly.

Services were held July 28 in Ocala. Burial, with full military honors, was at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
