BCSD appoints three assistant principals

Scott Anderson, Tara Merino and Tobias Ekeze have been appointed as assistant principals at Brockport Central School.

Anderson, assistant principal at the Barclay School, comes to Brockport from Victor Intermediate School where he was assistant principal for two years. Prior to that, he worked in the Greece Central School District for more than ten years, first as a teacher and then as an administrative assistant. He replaces Rhonda Steffen at Barclay. Steffen was appointed principal upon the retirement of Gail Zimmerli.

Merino, new assistant principal at A.D. Oliver Middle School, has held several positions in the Hilton Central School District over the past seven years, most recently as coordinator of health and physical education. She's also worked in Hilton as an assistant principal, interim director of physical education, health and athletics, and a physical education teacher. Merino replaces George Barsema, who has moved into the assistant principal position at Hill Elementary.

Ekeze, assistant principal at Brockport High School, has been with the Rochester City School District since 1998, where, most recently, he was an assistant to the house principal. Ekeze is a long-time Brockport resident. He replaces high school assistant principal Rob Banzer, who was recently appointed Principal of the Oliver Middle School.
