Buried treasures

Brockport's Historian Emeritus Bill Andrews and Historian Jackie Morris discuss artifacts that were unearthed during excavation projects within the village. Railroad rails are from the spur that linked the Main Street railroad tracks to the D.S. Morgan building located on the south side of the canal. The track was dug up when excavation was started on the village's visitor center site. The trolley spikes were unearthed when the asphalt was removed on portions of Erie Street and bricks that likely were used to support the trolley rails were also part of the historic find.
