•Scribner, Daniel "Danny," 60, formerly of Albion, died September 14, 2004 at Medina Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He is survived by children, John (Eileen) Biaselli of Kentucky, Michael Scribner of Batavia, David Scribner of Kendall, Donna Scribner (Rob Andreassen) of Batavia, Christina Scribner of Kendall, Danny, Donald and Dawn Scribner; two grandchildren, Casey and Ryan Showler of Batavia; brother Harold (Eloise) Scribner of Lyndonville; predeceased by sister, Millie Daly; former wife, Donna Scribner (Biaselli); many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Services will be held September 20 at 1 p.m. at the Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home, Albion. Interment, Mt. Albion Cemetery with full military honors. Contributions can be made to the American Legion Sheret Post #35, 131 South Main Street, Albion, NY 14411 in his memory.


BROCKPORT

•Duff, Thomas C., Predeceased by his father, Edward Duff. Survived by his mother, Arlene Harster; stepfather, Arnold Harster; companion, Gayle Sotherland; two brothers, Dan and Tim (Cindy); nephews, Jeffrey, Tyler; niece, Breanna; sister, Cindy Herzog (Paul); nephew Derek; and niece Jessica; aunts, Jean Talbot (David), Nancy Speed (Roger), Laura Stevenson; cousin and good friend, Mike Talbot.

A Memorial Mass was held September 13 at Nativity B.V.M. Church, Brockport.


HILTON

•Klafehn, Donald A., September 9, 2004, age 74. Survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Dorothy (Gaelens) Klafehn; his sons, Michael (Karen) and David (Juliann) Klafehn. He was predeceased by his son Stephen, 1995. Also survived by his daughter-in-law, Valarie; his grandchildren, Aaron, Garret, Jennifer, Grant, Alexander, Joseph and Bailey Klafehn; his sister, Lois (Gerald) Scroger; his brother, Robert (Linda) Klafehn; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Also predeceased by his sister, Helen Rhodes.

A Funeral Mass was said September 11 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Hamlin. Interment, Lakeside Ceme-tery. Contributions can be made to SEAS Building Fund or S. Edelman-H. Gardner C.R.F. in his memory.


KENT

•Sage, Margery Dayton, age 85, a former health, physical education and recreation teacher, died September 9, 2004 at her home in Point Breeze. She taught in Holley, in Kissimmee, Florida, at the Albion State School for Women and at Albion High School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. John Nelson Sage (New York State Police); her brother Captain Jay Parmalee Dayton (USCG), her cousin Lt. Commander Dean Stewart Parmalee (USAF), and her first son-in-law David Ross Rogers, M.D. She is survived by her daughter, Rev. Mary Sage Eisvang and son-in-law Jorn T. Eisvang of Montana. She is also survived by her niece Dorothy Chisholm Dayton II of Delaware; her nephew Jay Parmalee Dayton, Jr. of Maryland, and her cousin Janette D. Sherman, M.D. of Virginia.

A Memorial Service at the Cobblestone Church was held September 15. Memorials can be made to the Cobblestone Society, Hospice of Orleans County or P.A.W.S.

•Gallagher, Dorothy F., September 10, 2004, age 80. Loving wife of Thomas A. Gallagher; mother of Kathleen (Joseph Jr.) Piacente, Michael (Mary) Gallagher, Peter (Irene) Gallagher and Cynthia (James) Miller; grandmother of Heather, Kim, Joe, Brian, Ryan, Celeste, Ken, Dan, Amy, Steve, Matt, Meghan and Mike; sister of Henry (Carol) Eiffert, Marie (John) Porter, Joan Olivo and Judy (Robert) Everson; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

•Norton, Dennis J. (W2DJN), on September 13, 2004. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer; son and daughter-in-law, Adam and Elizabeth; one daughter, Ashley (James Oswald); his parents, John and Angeline (Tritto) Norton; his father-in-law, Irving Powell; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Employee of Xerox Corp. Member of Eagle Island Association.

•Schleyer, James R., September 9, 2004 at age 83. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy L. Schleyer; his sons, John R. (Susan) Schleyer and James M. (Mary) Schleyer; grandchildren, Mary Ann Schleyer, James (Marilyn) Schleyer, Susan (Jerry) Ramsey, Loren Schleyer, Carrie, Kaylin, Julie and Kristen Schleyer; great grandchildren, Keri, Ashlyn and Bret Ramsey. He was predeceased by his great granddaughter Patricia Schleyer. Jim was a retiree of Rochester Products and was a WWII Army Air Corps veteran.

A Funeral Mass was said September 13 at St. John's Church, Spencerport. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Spencerport Volunteer Ambulance in his memory.


•Soprych, Jean M. (Garbacz), Saturday, September 11, 2004, at age 73. Predeceased by her husband, Stanley M. Soprych, her brothers, Joseph and Steven Garbacz of Canada. Survived by her beloved children Sophia (Raymond) Vallee of Massachusetts, Edward (Tammy) and Richard Soprych; her loving grandchildren Lisa and Jason Pinkert, Olivia and Somer Faye Rose Soprych and Jennifer Tancsik.
