Applications available for Arts Grant Program

Applications are now available for the 2004/2005 Education through the Arts matching grant program. The program, funded in part by the New York State Council on the Arts, provides matching funds to partnerships between schools and teaching artists and/or cultural organizations for projects that: include both arts and non-arts subjects; address the New York State Learning Standards; be collaboratively designed; occur during the regular school day; take place between January and June, 2005.

Applications are due Friday, November 5 at 5 p.m.; notification of funding will occur after December 15. Applications are available by calling or visiting the Arts & Cultural Council of Greater Rochester offices or at www.artsrochester.org. All applicants, including returning applicants, are encouraged to attend a grant application seminar. Seminars will be held at the Arts & Cultural Council offices, 277 North Goodman Street, Rochester on Tuesday, September 28 at 3 p.m. or Tuesday, October 12 at 10 a.m.
