Mark Ball

Manager of Communications Group appointed

Mark Ball was appointed by the Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES Board of Education as the manager of the communications group in Communication and Technology Services (CaTS). Prior to coming to BOCES, Ball served as the director of admissions and communications at Bishop Kearney High School. During his five years at Bishop Kearney, Ball developed many marketing and recruitment campaigns and helped brand the school's image. During his tenure, the school's enrollment increased by 25 percent.

"We are excited that Mark is joining our team," said Ray Miller, CaTS supervising manager. "His strong marketing and communications background make him a great fit for the position."

Ball began his new role of overseeing printing graphics, and school information services on September 13. He has worked as a freelance writer for Suburban News and as a member of the Genesee Valley Professional School Communicators group.

"I hope to build upon the many programs and services that my predecessor, Julia Hahn, created during her tenure here, and to continue informing the public about what BOCES offers students and their schools. What really impresses me about BOCES is the clear focus on serving children, and the benefits that children gain through our cooperative services."

Ball holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from SUNY Brockport and is currently working towards his master's degree in communications at SUNY Brockport. He lives in Hilton with his wife, Leslie, two-year-old daughter, Molly, and one-year-old son, Riley.
