Local dentist whitens teeth, contributes to children's charities

This past spring, as part of the Crown Council's Smiles for Life campaign, Dr. Tod Twichell and his dental team offered teeth whitening services at a significantly reduced price, and donated 100 percent of the proceeds to help children facing serious health and educational problems. This year half of the money raised, more than $2,000, was donated to the Brockport Central School District Special Education Department.

During the four-month campaign, Twichell and other members of the Crown Council throughout the United States and Canada helped raise more than $1.7 million for kids. Contributions will be made to children's charities in communities like Brockport.

"We had a great campaign this year and would like to thank everyone in the community who came out and helped to make it a success," Twichell said.

The Smiles for Life Foundation is the children's charity organization of the Crown Council, an organization of dentists throughout North America. For information about Smiles for Life, visit www.smilesforlife.org/www.brockportsmiles.com or call Twichell at 637-6884.
