Two candidates vie for BOCES 2 superintendent position

Dr. Gregory C. Geer, Byron-Bergen superintendent, and Dr. Christopher B. Manaseri, Wheatland-Chili superintendent, are the top candidates for the Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES superintendent position.

Both finalists will have a full day visit at BOCES 2. Manaseri will visit October 21 and Geer will visit October 26. They will meet with superintendents from component districts as well as BOCES 2 administrators, teachers, teacher aides, support staff and interested parents and community members. The forum open to parents and community members will be held from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. and again from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. both days, located in the James Green Conference Room 7 at the BOCES 2 Educational Services Center, 3599 Big Ridge Road in Spencerport.

Dr. Clark J. Godshall, district superintendent of the Orleans/Niagara BOCES, was appointed interim superintendent following the retirement of C. Tod Eagle in July.

A January 2005 start date is anticipated.
