Recreation's future studied

The Town of Parma has released to the public a Recreation Needs Analysis report prepared by Stuart I. Brown Associates, Inc. This comprehensive study commissioned by the Parma Town Board completes an eight-month fact finding process which included discussions with the local youth sport organizations, the Hilton-Parma Recreation & Parks Commission and village board representatives.

The idea of an independent study exploring the expansion of recreational facilities within the Hilton-Parma community has been a major component of the Recreation Department Master Plan and the ongoing HCS District Capitol project, a similar study completed by the Recreation Department in 1998, and the progress of the Town Hall Park Expansion Project, were all factors that showed the timely need for this report.

Copies of the 37-page analysis with informative attachments were distributed to over two dozen boards and departments, and have been made available at the Parma Public Library and the Parma Town Clerk's Office.
