Tree of Memories lights up Sweden Senior Center grounds

The Sweden Senior Center will once again sponsor a "Memories of Love" tree during this holiday season.

For a donation of $5 per bulb, participants can purchase one or more lights in memory of deceased friends or relatives or to honor a special person or event such as a birthday, wedding or anniversary.

Besides the light being placed on the tree, the name of each honored person or event will be inscribed in a traditional book kept at the center.

The decorated tree will be on the west lawn at the center, 133 State Street, Brockport. A special tree lighting ceremony and holiday program will be held there at 7 p.m. on December 8.
