Nursery school students enjoy Halloween celebration

Pre-k students from the Gates Chili Cooperative Nursery School, located in the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, enjoyed an early Halloween celebration with a visit to their neighbors at the Seabury Woods Senior Living Community. The students prepared for this yearly visit by learning songs and painting pumpkins on buckets in which to collect candy. On Friday, October 29, students from both the morning and afternoon classes paraded to the senior center dressed in their Halloween costumes. They sang their songs and were rewarded with sweet treats from the residents. Gates Chili Cooperative Nursery School students are the only children's group to visit the "grandmas and grandpas" at Halloween, and both the GCCNS students and the Seabury Woods residents look forward to this gathering. Some of the senior residents even donned masks, and it was hard to tell who enjoyed it more.
