•Thompson, Jesse, November 4, 2004. Predeceased by his father, Jessie and daughter, Samara. He is survived by his mother, Alice Thompson; children, Brandon (Kerryn), Keith (Jennifer) and their mother, Christine; grandson, Ryan; speckal friends, Leslie and Melissa Charles; and special remembrance of his beloved dogs, Buddy and CC.

•McCartney, Helen T., November 3, 2004, age 84, wife of the late Hugh A. "Allen" McCartney; mother of Hugh F. McCartney and Dennis M. (Renee) McCartney, both of Bergen and Christine A. McCartney of Chili Center; sister of Frances Pickert of Canandaigua; sister-in-law of Dewey Sackett of Bergen; grandmother of Kristy (Scott) Murphy of Batavia and Daniel and Jason McCartney of Bergen.

•Maloney, Kathleen M., November 2, 2004, at age 62. Predeceased by her father, Stanley Michatek. Kathleen is survived by her mother, Betty Michatek; son, Michael (Donna) Maloney; daughters, Patti (Ian) Brown, and Melissa Maloney; sisters, Betsy Piechota and Theresa (Dominic) Arioli; grandchildren, Samantha and Brianna Brown; niece Julie (Mark) Andersen; nephews, Joseph and John Piechota; great niece, Isabella Andersen; uncle, aunts, many cousins and friends.

A Funeral Mass was said November 6 at St. Lawrence Church. Inurnment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Con-tributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1400 N. Winton Road 14609 in her memory.


•Wilcox, Emelia E., On November 7, 2004. Prede-ceased by husband, George. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Andrus; grandson, Daniel Wilcox; granddaughter Dona Cuthriell; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; special friend. W. J. Wiley.

A Funeral Mass was said November 10 at Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Brockport. Contributions can be made to a charity of one's choice in her memory.

•Graff, Thomas E. "Thom," November 6, 2004 at age 34. Predeceased by his father Daniel E. Graff. Survived by his mother Bonnie E. Graff; his brother Douglas (April) Graff and their children Jillian and Alexander; many loving aunts, uncles and cousins including three special boys David, Michael and Daniel. Thom was an avid bowler, L. A. Lakers, Denver Broncos and NASCAR fan.

•Sherman, James E., November 7, 2004, age 63. Survived by his wife, Betty; children, James Sherman Jr., Brenda Smith, Cheryl Sherman and William Sherman; grandchildren, Richard, Andrew, Jessica, Samantha, Timothy; brother, Richard Sherman; sister, Freda (Joe) Bullis; many nieces and nephews.

•Hogan, Raymond C., November 4, 2004, at age 92. Predeceased by his wife, Florence (Hurley) Hogan. He is survived by his children Patricia (Raymond) Mitrano, Jeanne Hogan, Kathleen Piper and Margaret (James) Fleming; fifteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; his very special friends Jerry Cunningham, Kay Moriarty, Susan Staub, Mary Szymanowicz and his special friends at AA. Ray was a retiree of Kodak with 44 years of service.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated November 8 at St. John's Church, Spencerport. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations can be sent to Journey Home, Inc., 994 Long Pond Road, Rochester, NY 14626 in his memory.


•Van Scooter, JoAnn (Klocek), October 29, 2004. She is survived by her husband, Rodney; her children, John (Kelly) Imburgia, Richard (Renee) Imburgia, Staci (Dave), Rodney II, Jeffrey, Laura (Ken) and Angela Van Scooter; her brother, Robert (Kathleen) Klocek; her sister, Carol Kraus; 15 grandchildren; in laws, Norb, Judy and Ed; nieces, nephews and cousins; and her pal Buddy the Boxer. She was co-owner of Liberty Hollow Co-Op, Spencerport.
