Byron-Bergen Central School Art Teacher Cindy Crowley was selected by the New York State Art Teachers Association (NYSATA) to be the Region I Art Educator of the Year. According to Paulette Lowe, NYSATA's awards and honors chair, "Mrs. Crowley was chosen from a very distinguished field of nominees and is an exceptional art educator. She has shown her ability to further the field of art education while providing her students with an excellent education. Her dedication and vision in the field of art education has set her apart from her peers. This award established her eligibility to be selected as the New York State Art Educator of the Year for 2005." Crowley will be honored at the NYSATA's Annual Conference to be held at the Rye Town Hilton, Rye Brook, New York on November 19. |
