Seymour Library unveils story tower

The Seymour Library will soon unveil the new entrance to their Children's Room's Story Tower. The Friends of Seymour Library provided the funds to create this addition fashioned by local artist Mary Beth Dolan.

The Story Tower will be unveiled on Monday, December 6. The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m., when the library opens, with the unveiling to take place at 10:15 a.m. A Story Time given by Children's Librarian Cathy Henderson, will start at 10:30 a.m. There will be an open house from noon to 5 p.m.

"The Friends wanted to enhance the Story Tower to make it a special place for children to experience the library," said Charlotte Wright, President of the Friends of Seymour Library. Library Director Jennifer Ries-Taggart added, "The Seymour Library would like to acknowledge the Friends' generous gift to both the library and the community. The tower entrance looks like it came right out of a fairy tale. It will be something the kids will always remember fondly."
